Long R3 IGF-1 is a recombinant analogue of Insulin-like Growth Factor 1, modified at position 3 with an arginine substitution and extended with a 13-amino acid N-terminal extension. These modifications significantly reduce binding to IGF binding proteins, resulting in a substantially longer half-life compared to native IGF-1. It is a primary downstream mediator of growth hormone signaling, studied for its roles in cellular proliferation, differentiation, and anabolic metabolism. Batch 2026/02 verified at 99.73% purity by Waiida Testing Technologies.
Recommended diluent: Acetic acid (0.1M) or Bacteriostatic Water
IGF-1 LR3 reconstitutes most reliably in dilute acetic acid. Add 100µL of 0.1M acetic acid to the 100mcg vial. The resulting concentration is 1mcg/µL (1000mcg/mL). For aqueous dilution, further dilute in PBS containing 0.1% BSA.
Store reconstituted solution at 2–8°C. For longer storage, aliquot and freeze at −20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
