Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) consisting of the full 44 amino acid sequence of GHRH with a trans-3-hexenoic acid group at the N-terminus for enhanced stability. Unlike direct GH administration, tesamorelin stimulates pulsatile, physiological GH secretion via the somatotroph cells of the anterior pituitary. It is widely studied in the context of visceral adipose tissue reduction, IGF-1 axis regulation, and metabolic homeostasis. Supplied as a 2mg lyophilized powder vial.
