AOD-9604

AOD-9604 is a modified fragment of human growth hormone corresponding to amino acids 177–191 of the HGH C-terminus, with an additional tyrosine residue at the N-terminus for stability. It mimics the lipolytic activity of HGH — stimulating fat breakdown and inhibiting lipogenesis — without binding to IGF-1 receptors or promoting tissue growth. This selective mechanism makes it a subject of significant research interest in lipid metabolism, obesity biology, and cartilage repair via the TGF-β pathway.
